Pay Range: Targeted hourly pay up to $15.00, based on experience.

Schedule

Work Schedule: Varies based on business needs. Essential personnel and may be required to work during inclement weather or campus closure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following recipes and applying individual portion control standards.
• Oversee and support the leadership team in ensuring other staff are on task.
• Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients for quantity preparation of simple menu items.
• Utilize various kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy/industrial equipment in food preparation.
• Serve food in a courteous and respectful manner, with proper portion control and knowledge of menu items.
• Wash, sanitize, and store pots, pans, and kitchen utensils in designated areas.
• Clean dishes and tables, serve areas, counters, and floors.
• Clean the work area according to proper kitchen standards (floors, food carts, cabinets, tables, kitchen utensils and equipment, dishes, and tableware).
• Assist other food services staff when necessary and voluntarily as much as possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or graduate of culinary school.
• 12 months of restaurant/customer service experience.

Essential Personnel Information

• May be required to work during University closings, and inclement weather.
• Nights and weekends may apply for any operation.

Additional Requirements

• Cleveland County Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire and maintained every other year thereafter.
• Hepatitis A vaccine required if hired or annual testing.
