Sr. Flight Software Verification Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Flight Software Verification Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will focus on verifying safety-critical flight software against stringent certification standards and ensuring the robustness of systems intended for demanding aerospace applications. You will help shape verification strategy, build compliant tooling, and support the documentation and testing needed to demonstrate readiness for flight. The position works closely with engineering and test teams to execute rigorous validation activities across unit, Hardware-In-The-Loop, and flight environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the DO-178C verification strategy and its implementation
- Develop tooling for effective and compliant software verification
- Oversee and write test development documentation
- Qualify tools per DO-178C/DO-330 standards
- Plan and execute flight tests
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with C or C++
- Experience with safety-critical software verification achieving DO-178C objectives
- Background in requirements-based testing in unit tests and Hardware-In-The-Loop environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience
Pay
$120,000 – $145,000 annually
