For our client, a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space, we are seeking a Senior Flight Navigation Engineer to turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.
About the role
This position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within an Aerospace & Defense environment. Location: Remote (US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available).
Responsibilities
- Define navigation system requirements with stakeholders
- Analyze and select sensor solutions for the navigation system
- Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation
- Implement state estimation algorithms in flight software
- Establish test methods for compliance with standards
- Evaluate navigation system performance through simulations and test cases
Qualifications
- MS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree
- 8+ years of professional experience developing and testing navigation algorithms
- Technical expertise in Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation, inertial navigation, or alternative navigation technologies
- Experience in developing C/C++ flight software and Python for data reduction and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay
$120,000 – $150,000 annually
