Sr Financial Recovery Rep (SBA)
About the Role
The Senior Financial Recovery Representative (SBA) develops resolution strategies for classified (special asset) loans to minimize losses on the current Business Banking or commercial loan portfolio. This role involves analyzing financial plans, negotiating loan collection or restructuring, and recommending or overseeing litigation, liquidation, or charge-off of loans. Works with moderately large and complex loans and may coach less experienced employees.
Responsibilities
- Develops resolution strategies on classified (special asset) loans to minimize losses on the current loan portfolio.
- Analyzes financial plans, negotiates loan collection or restructuring, and recommends or oversees litigation, liquidation, or charge-off of loans.
- Works with business line loan officers to manage non-pass rated borrowing relationships.
- Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for risk management, compliance, and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility, whether a supervisor, manager, or individual contributor.
- Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored, and controlled, and compliance requirements are adhered to on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures staff (if applicable) is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources, and motivated to adhere to risk management principles.
- Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial/business banking underwriting, lending, or credit.

- Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability and desire to provide high-quality service to clients.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven and goal-oriented team environment.
- Basic working knowledge of PC applications.
Workplace Type
This is an office-based role. Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work. Remote roles will have opportunities to come together in our offices for moments that matter. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $140,000 annual salary. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
