Sr. Financial Analyst - Trade Finance - Chicago, IL
About the role
The Senior Analyst - Trade Marketing Finance is a strategic business partner to Commercial teams, instrumental in managing key P&L accounts, driving forecast accuracy, and delivering insights that shape brand and channel investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly close and forecasting for key P&L accounts with clear explanation of drivers by brand and channel.
- Partner cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Revenue Management, and Finance to assess volume risks, investment strategies, and balance sheet exposure.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and establish KPIs and guardrails in collaboration with Revenue Management and Finance teams.
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership on current and future business performance.
- Support pricing maneuvers and trade investment analysis, including competitive benchmarking and budget restatements.
- Champion system/process enhancements to improve scalability and financial accuracy in trade and investment management.
- Drive a high-performance culture by mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in FP&A, brand finance, or commercial strategy in the CPG industry.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and analytical concepts, financial operating systems and processes.
- Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Tableau preferred. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Oracle EPM, Hyperion, or similar systems a plus.
- Strong communication and storytelling ability with data.
- Abilities: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines. Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities. Ability to build strong relationships with business partners, including senior leadership.
Pay
The base pay range for this position is $94,000 to $131,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

This position offers a hybrid schedule.
