SR Financial Analyst/Consultant
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support PEO C4I / NAVWAR Command clients in San Diego, CA. This role involves delivering high-impact financial management and accounting support to U.S. government clients. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a consulting team, supporting day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data in government systems (e.g., Navy ERP, Standard Procurement System, and successor systems)
- Aid with budget formulation, cost management, and variance analysis
- Measure organizational performance and assess program and policy impacts on funding
- Research financial and economic trends affecting program execution and spending
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and guidelines governing budget formulation and execution
- Manage multiple funding types and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Prepare and brief financial reports, budgets, analyses, and executive-level summaries
- Develop recommendations and courses of action (COAs) to resolve financial issues
- Interpret and apply financial management policies, regulations, and strategic objectives
Requirements
Non-U.S. citizens are ineligible. The adjudication process evaluates overall reliability and trustworthiness, including adherence to federal laws prohibiting marijuana use (recreational, medical, or CBD).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of Navy/DoD financial management or relevant federal consulting experience
- Strongly preferred: Department of the Navy (DoN) experience, including accounting, consulting, finance, NAVWAR financial systems, and PPBE processes
- Ability to obtain a SECRET government security clearance (TS/SCI may be required for certain projects)
- Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification preferred
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Excel proficiency (used daily)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-Erp) preferred

Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 95,000 - 130,000 USD per year(San Diego)
