About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting professional to support complex accounting, financial reporting, audit, and acquisition-related initiatives. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert on highly technical accounting matters while partnering with cross-functional teams on major business projects and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to interpret accounting guidance and company policies in situations where formal precedent may not exist.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting, audit, and financial reporting matters.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on highly technical accounting issues, often in situations where established policies, procedures, or precedents do not exist.
  • Participate in large-scale business initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic projects requiring advanced financial and accounting expertise.
  • Support acquisition and due diligence activities, including review of data room documentation and identification of potential accounting and financial reporting implications.
  • Assess the impact of accounting issues under applicable accounting standards, including US GAAP and other statutory reporting frameworks.
  • Review and validate financial models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Perform technical accounting research and financial analysis to support special projects and key business initiatives.
  • Assist Energy Accounting, Pipeline Accounting, and Financial Reporting teams with complex financial analyses and financial statement reviews.
  • Develop financial models and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor, train, and provide direction to junior team members while fostering professional development.
  • Exercise sound judgment, resourcefulness, and analytical thinking when addressing unique or complex business challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, due diligence activities, or major business projects.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting guidance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay

$30.60 - $48.43/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wheatfield, IN. This is a fully onsite position in Wheatfield, IN.
