Sr Finance Analyst

About the role

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Analyst, you’ll apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a complex portfolio of CBRE clients and properties. This role is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, focusing on maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership
• Lead development and execution of the rolling forecast aligned with strategic goals
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workforce planning and productivity
• Serve as a subject matter expert in financial systems and policy interpretation
• Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting
• Prepare packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to clients and management teams
• Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures
• Adapt to organizational changes and priorities, maintaining alignment of financial strategies and deliverables
• Respond to and resolve complex issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports
• Recognize potential issues and conflicts and take corrective action to minimize them
• Facilitate the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values
• Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis
• Skilled with data manipulation and analysis
• Professional Power BI experience preferred
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents
• Ability to structure, plan, manage, and prioritize projects effectively
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
• Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate complex figures such as percentages and fractions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
