Sr Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician (ACI Certified) to join our Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Shreveport, Louisiana.

About the role

The Senior Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform field testing of soils, concrete, and other construction materials, providing assessments through detailed reporting
• Utilize project drawings, specifications, and diagrams to perform testing and inspections
• Follow established methods and procedures to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of test results
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project team members
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Climb occasionally and work at varying heights
• Lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with assistance
• Kneel and squat occasionally and stand or walk for extended periods
• Work overnight and non-traditional shifts, including overtime as needed

Requirements

• Two or more years of construction materials testing experience
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification (required)
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and distinguish sounds accurately

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Additional ACI certifications and other industry-related certifications (preferred)
