About the role
Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician II to support the company's global transportation technology. This role involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert, implementing and assisting with the installation of new equipment, providing on-site training and support, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and advancing technical training content.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and maintain Luminator’s hardware and software, handling customer questions about the system state.
- Implement and assist with the installation of new equipment on site, providing on-site training and support.
- Sustain proficiency in all products and services offered by the company, including staying current with installation standards, equipment protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Provide on-site pre-startup, startup, contracted service work, warranty, troubleshooting, and training of Luminator products, ensuring equipment is operational and free of defects.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions on equipment.
- Accurately document the work performed at a customer facility, documenting periodic preventive maintenance and intermittent corrective maintenance tasks professionally.
- Handle customer service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and solving technical problems on site.
- Advance training content for Luminator products and systems, supporting technical staff development.
- Develop and provide hands-on training courses at operations as required, specific to the equipment types and local needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using own technical knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
- Document processes, coordinate work with other groups to meet commitments, and operate vehicles safely.
- Follow company procedures and protocols, cooperate with the technical team, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Build positive relationships with customers and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years prior field service experience in supporting technical or engineering services or military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Clean DMV record and valid driver’s license.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
Physical Demands
- Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.
- Maximum unassisted lift is up to 40 lbs. Average lift less than 20 lbs.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
