Sr Field Service Technician - GSE: Chicago

About the role

The Senior Field Service Technician will primarily serve Chicago based customers and occasionally travel to other airports within the continental US. Key responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of ground support equipment such as aircraft tow tractors, container loaders, and baggage transport vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Interface with PLC systems for program upload/download and control system adjustments
• Collaborate with dealer technicians for troubleshooting assistance
• Review and document service procedures
• Participate in OEM testing and equipment upgrades
• Mentor junior technicians

Requirements

• Five or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, or contracting with Oshkosh Corporation
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficient in electrical diagnostics and repair, mechanical systems, and hydraulic diagnostics
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passport required for international travel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Five or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, or contracting with Oshkosh Corporation
• Previous experience with GSE (Ground Support Equipment)

$73,200.00 - $117,800.00
