About the role
The Sr. Field Applications Specialist (FAS) is responsible for the validation of new Chemistry and Immunoassay instrument installations to meet Beckman Coulter and customer requirements. They collaborate with customer Key Operators during validation to reinforce training and ensure readiness, address operational and performance questions, and partner with Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams. This position reports to the Technical Applications Supervisor and is part of the Field Applications Team within the North America Service Organization. This role is fully remote and located in the Dallas, TX area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customers for and complete validation studies on instrumentation, including instrument set-up, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons.
- Provide both onsite and remote phone support to customers for assay and QC-related questions.
- Deliver onsite training for proper operation of instrumentation.
Requirements
- Associate's degree with a minimum combined experience of 3+ years in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or a related field.
- Advanced understanding of the Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry, with a heavy emphasis on the Laboratory Regulatory environment.
- Up to 95% travel (flying and/or driving), including overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Experience with Standard Laboratory Management Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, COLA).

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $40.00-$46.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
