Sr. Field Application Scientist - Chemistry/Formulations

Responsibilities

• Partner with representatives of the Sales organization to achieve customer engagements that drive the adoption of our solutions.
• Conduct thorough discoveries to identify customer needs and requirements.
• Design and execute custom/highly configured software demonstrations in support of pre-sales activities.
• Conduct pre-sales activities such as POCs, pilots, workshops, and evaluations specific to the product area.
• Assist with responses to RFIs/RFPs related to the product area.
• Supplemental support of canned demonstrations as required in the territory.
• Provide strategic insights to product management and product marketing based on customer feedback and market trends to guide product development and market positioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry, Formulations, Cheminformatics or STEM disciplines.
• 3+ years of lab experience in research or industry.
• Strong understanding of synthetic chemistry required.
• 3+ years' experience in polymer/formulation chemistry is a plus.
• 3+ years' experience with relevant scientific and informatics solutions, including ChemDraw.

Qualifications

• MSs or PhD degree in Organic Chemistry, Formulations, Cheminformatics or STEM disciplines.
• Experience with Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and analytics platforms like Spotfire is highly desirable.
• Strong experience with scripting languages and RESTful APIs desirable.
• Strong skills in communication and presentation, capable of effectively conveying a solution value.
• Highly customer-oriented with the ability to engage with clients at all levels, conduct demonstrations and solution proof of concepts.
• Open to travel to customer sites and conferences, with travel expectations of 30-40%.
• Previous customer-facing experience is a plus.

Pay

The pay range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
