About the role
The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining an environment of care which provides a safe, functional and clean treatment facility for patients, visitors and staff. Ensures all critical, life safety and equipment systems are maintained to ensure their most efficient operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.
- Performs preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.
- Operates a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.
- Performs construction tasks for preparation of the hospital for furnishings, equipment and systems.
- Maintains and completes maintenance journals, logs, and time sheets daily.
- Measures air velocity, pressure, flow, and temperature consistently within ten percent accuracy.
- Predicts and adjusts total system to maintain proper performance after any air, water, temperature, or pneumatic changes are made.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance, and/or relatable industrial, commercial, or institutional experience, and/or construction with hospital maintenance experience is preferred.
- Related technical school graduate or five (5) years on the job training is required.
