Sr. Facilities Engineer (IC3)

Basic Qualifications

• Experience managing maintenance of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment
• Experience with documenting and disposition of failed or non-conformance equipment
• Experience with fluid systems (liquids and gases)
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Production stakeholders
• Ability to obtain Ground Processing Equipment Controller (GPEC) certification within 90 days
• Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and weekends/off shifts
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows products including Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

• Participate in management of calibration and precision cleaning of Orion mechanical ground support equipment
• Maintain and repair Orion mechanical ground support equipment
• Work extensively in SAP software to develop, release, disposition, and close service orders, production orders, work orders, and maintenance notes capturing problems or corrective actions
• Generate electronic material requests and track material receipts

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with NASA KSC Operations and Checkout Building
• Experience with operation of environmental testing equipment (both thermal and altitude simulation)
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of HVAC systems (air handlers and chillers)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience
• Experienced as a project manager responsible for managing the technical, budgetary, and schedule performance
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
