Skill Requirements
- Academic degree or equivalent BS or BA
- Communications, Marketing
- 2-4 years of corporate event and/or tradeshow management experience
- Experience with lead capture software such as Captello or Salesforce (a plus)
- Experience with project management software such as Airtable (a plus)
- Superb organization skills
- Strong ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Superb visual, verbal and written communication skills
- Proofreading, Microsoft Office
- Business knowledge of OCLC and OCLC services (beneficial)
Major Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate conferences, meetings, road shows, exhibitions at 30+ domestic and international exhibits
- Supervise the setup of events and meetings
- Communicate with relevant internal departments and outside vendors to ensure proper delivery of services
- Schedule booth space, set up and dismantle exhibit equipment at conferences 10'x20' or larger if required
- Revising/proofing copy for conference-related ads and email invitations
- Secure accommodations and meeting space
- Ship equipment and collateral
- Coordinate and maintain lead capture for events through Captello and Salesforce software
- Maintain a working relationship with vendors
- Coordinate and maintain global event calendar and exhibit schedule through Airtable software
- Maintain an inventory of advertising specialty items
- Track and coordinate sponsorships
- Negotiate costs with external vendors
- Track and coordinate on-site operations of larger conferences and meetings
Qualifications
Must have superb organization skills; handle multiple projects and short timeframes, meet deadlines, work successfully with others.
