About the role
We are looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer to join the Equipment Engineering team supporting Optimus Charger and 3Y Seats production. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy manufacturing equipment and automation solutions that directly improve production safety, efficiency, and quality. You'll work hands-on in a fast-paced environment troubleshooting issues in real time, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and driving projects from concept through deployment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, iterate, and solve challenging electromechanical problems on production equipment in real time
- Define equipment needs for given stations and processes; design, fabricate, test, and deploy tools and fixtures to improve production safety and efficiency
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC/NI-based end-of-line testers
- Develop assembly automation solutions to optimize headcount utilization
- Collaborate with process, quality, maintenance, production, safety, and controls engineering teams to define project scope
- Develop and track detailed project timelines, delivering solutions on time across both immediate and long-range deadlines
- Troubleshoot electromechanical issues on current production equipment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or equipment engineering)
- Growth mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under demanding timelines
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, CATIA, and GD&T
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes
- Experience with NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and SQL
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial control panels
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC programming experience preferred
- Experience with Ignition SCADA platform preferred
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal programming preferred

Pay
Expected Compensation $104,000 - $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
