About the role
We are looking to add a Senior Epic Application Analyst to our Clinical Solutions team, supporting the Epic ASAP module for the Emergency Department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Epic professional who wants to make a direct impact on patient care technology at a large, respected healthcare organization known for its people-first culture and long-standing recognition as a top workplace.
Location: Houston, TX (candidates must be able to reliably service the greater Houston area). This role is on-site and is not eligible for remote work. Travel is not required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Translate end-user and department needs within the Emergency Department into effective Epic ASAP system solutions.
- Perform intermediate to advanced analysis, design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic ASAP and related applications.
- Lead project reviews and process walkthroughs that incorporate technical, clinical, and business considerations.
- Provide ongoing Epic application support and troubleshoot complex, high-impact issues.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours technical support.
- Set and advocate for technical development, application support, and information management standards.
- Develop, prioritize, and manage project timelines; report on status, priorities, and schedules.
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of staff training sessions.
- Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced analysts.
Requirements
- Epic ASAP certification required (Epic ClinDoc or Ambulatory certification considered as a backup).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working within an Epic application environment.
- Direct experience supporting or working within an Emergency Department.
- Experience in large-scale healthcare information systems (HIS/MIS) development and implementation – including analysis, design, build, testing, and go-live support.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
