Sr. Environmental Advisor

About the role

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a Sr. Environmental Advisor to support our work at Los Alamos National Lab in Los Alamos, NM. Geosyntec is an innovative, international engineering and consulting firm serving private and public-sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop a framework integrating NNSA and EM guidelines as well as applicable regulatory requirements to provide a formal process and operationally integrated capability for transitioning legacy cleanup completion into a Long-Term Stewardship program at LANL.
• Create a policy that includes regulatory framework, description of roles and responsibilities of the four parties, role of LTS and Legacy Management flowchart/graphic, how often the policy must be reviewed, and stakeholder communication strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science and/or related Environmental Field.
• 15+ years of experience or equivalent years of education and experience.
• Significant experience in environmental, safety, and health.
• Experience working in a DOE and/or NNSA setting.
• Experience as a Program and/or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
• Successfully perform essential functions with reasonable accommodation.
• Complete health and safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
