Sr. Engineering Technician
What's the Job?
Support the development, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems based on engineering drawings and schematics.
Install and wire electronics into rack-mounted systems, ensuring proper cable routing and labeling.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) at the component level.
Build custom cables, wire harnesses, and interconnect assemblies, performing crimping, soldering, and continuity testing.
Set up and execute automated test procedures, record results, and assist in debugging system-level issues.
What's Needed?
- A high school diploma or GED
- Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, repair, or testing within R&D, prototype hardware, or similar environments
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Experience with PCB soldering, rework (SMD and through-hole), and cable/harness fabrication
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with IPC standards
