Position Summary

As a Senior Cabin Modifications & Engineering Program Manager, you will lead and drive the delivery of customer offers/proposals pertaining to aircraft cabin upgrades, interior modification programs and customer-centric solutions across Airbus commercial programs/products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Opportunity/Project Evaluation: Assess customer requirements and specifications related to the desired “To Be” aircraft configuration. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct an initial technical feasibility study (including risk assessment) of the desired modification. Work with engineering and kitting teams to develop a rough order of magnitude cost estimate for a potential project.

  • Offer/Proposal Development: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to expand the previous evaluation into a detailed Offer specifying the scope of work, firm cost estimate, and accurate schedule. Coordinate with sales and marketing to ensure proposals align with customer needs and are competitively priced. Support negotiations with customers and suppliers to secure favorable agreements and contract terms.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure that customer expectations are understood and integrated into engineering plans with a strong focus on safety, performance, and compliance. Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service throughout the offer lifecycle.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned: Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, methods and tools improvements.

Required Education

  • Qualified Experience and Training: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)

  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Engineering and/or PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Required Experience

  • Experience: 9+ years of engineering experience in aircraft interiors, cabin modifications, systems integration, or similar aviation roles. Proven background in technical project or program management, ideally including STC, modifications, or cabin reconfiguration projects. Ability to interpret and develop engineering drawings, BOMs, technical reports, and certification documentation. Demonstrated success working with airline customers, MROs, OEM partners, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of aircraft cabin systems, regulatory frameworks (FAA/EASA), and certification pathways. Experience with cabin layout re-designs, seat-module integration, monument placement, IFE/PSU integration, or advanced interior systems. Familiarity with digital design tools and product lifecycle management (PLM) software.

  • Technical Leadership: Technical leadership with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to present complex technical concepts to varied audiences. Customer-facing experience with strong relationship building skills. Strong organizational capabilities, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Team player with the drive to influence cross-functional decision making.
