Responsibilities
- Provides process optimization and engineering support for the mill.
- Includes compliance, process coordination, lean projects, quality and product safety, and analytical and systems support.
- Maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
- Collaborates with outside resources to improve operations by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.
- Conducts data analysis projects and uses data to make business decisions.
- Assignments may include some work at higher levels for training and development purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or relevant experience required.
- 5 years’ experience in process engineering or production in the paper industry.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD, and Project.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pulp & paper making, wastewater treatment, and recovery boiler operations.
- Interest/aptitude in controls.
- Process Control minor or Certificate.
- Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience working with DCS/QCS Control Systems and PI/DataParc historian.
Pay
Starting salary range for position: $110,000 - $125,000
