Sr Engineer Piping

Job Description The Senior Piping Engineer will play a critical role in the engineering design, analysis, and development of complex piping systems for onshore oil & gas, chemical, LNG, and renewable energy projects. This position requires a strong understanding of piping engineering principles and a proven track record of delivering high-quality deliverables, including piping specifications, specialty items, required pipe stress analyses, required calculations, and valve selection activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing piping material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews. Additionally, they will contribute to various project stages, including conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support. As an Area Lead or Project Lead, this position involves overseeing assigned projects and undertaking complex engineering tasks. The role requires the application of advanced engineering techniques to a wide range of challenging assignments. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for completing project specific objectives on timeResponsible for design and specification of piping systems, utility and equipment ties-ins, pipe supports for heavy industrial facilitiesConsulted on design, specification, selection, and services relating to, pipe standards, manual valves, and inline piping equipmentEstablish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reportsProvide direct support to staff engineers in planning, design, analysis, manufacturing, and assembly in a hands-on capacityConduct and participate in design reviews and various engineering related meetingsDevelop, execute, and document test procedures and resultsPerform dimensional data review for piping components specified in Zachry piping material classDevelop 3D models for rapid prototypingDevelop and maintain piping commodity codesComplete project documentation as required by the engineering quality management processEnsure that completed project scope is safe to operate, functional, maintainable, and that all applicable codes have been followedPerform dimensional data review for piping components specified in Zachry piping material classDevelop 3D models for rapid prototypingDevelop and maintain piping commodity codesComplete project documentation as required by the engineering quality management processEnsure that completed project scope is safe to operate, functional, maintainable, and that all applicable codes have been followedSupervises and directs the activities of other personnel working on one or more projectsFoster a culture of professional growth by mentoring colleagues, developing training resources, facilitating training sessions, and participating in performance reviews and counseling.Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree in a mechanical, industrial, chemical or petroleum engineering discipline from an accredited engineering programMinimum of 15 years related experience petrochemical, refining, construction projects10+ years of experience with pipe stress analysis, CAESAR II, NozzlePro, manual valve list, stress list, line list, specialty items list, requisition developmentPipe stress analysis experience with hot and Cold (Cryo) lines, etc.Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materialsAdvanced problem-solving and analytical skillsValues ethics, professionalism, and maintains confidentialityStrong communication and presentation skillsExperience in working with and mentoring designers/engineering team membersExperience in developing scopes of work, task analysis, material list and project schedulesComfortable working in a collaborative, transparent, teamwork-based cultureDemonstrate a practical approach to resolving piping component problems and a solid understanding of 3D modeling requirementsAbility to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and coordinate a variety of tasks, with good attention to detail and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlinesUnderstanding, acceptance and adherence of company policies and procedures, including all business objectives and goalsExperience in communicating job packages/projects with construction and plant personnelWillingness to travel and work in office and field environments Preferred Requirements Licensed Professional Engineer and membership in technical societyIndustrial ExperienceExperience in mid-stream industryFamiliar with Engineering and Computer Software: Aveva E3D, SP3D, SP3D review, Auto Pipe Plus, Caesar II etc. Candidates must be conversant with Indian and American Standards, 3D design Concept PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. WORK ENVIRONMENT Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking.
