Job Summary

Ranpak Corporation seeks a Senior Perception Engineer in Shelton, CT, to develop advanced software modules for robotic perception systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering or a closely related field
  • 4 years of experience as an Engineer
  • Hands-on experience developing robotics and machine perception systems in C++
  • Knowledge in data structures and algorithms
  • 3 years of experience with OpenCV and the Point Cloud Library (PCL)
  • Proficient in Modern C++ with a deep understanding of RAII, STL, templates, and contemporary language features
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux environments
  • Skilled in developing robust, production-ready software systems
  • Experience in maintaining and extending large-scale software libraries
  • Proficient with ROS and other robotics middleware frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with parallel computing technologies, including TBB and CUDA
  • Strong command of linear algebra libraries such as Eigen
  • Background in applying machine learning techniques to real-world problems
  • Proficient with modern version control workflows using Git
  • Familiar with agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
