About the role

Support technical inquiries from production support engineers and test engineers regarding manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer knowledge to production support engineers about manufacturing processes used to build/rebuild products.
  • Collaborate with test engineers to identify and resolve issues with process equipment.
  • Work with production and test engineers to develop and update manufacturing procedures and training materials for assembly/manufacture of products, especially those involving microelectronics, circuit card assemblies, and cleanroom environments.
  • Assist in creating Basis of Estimates for work requiring the development and/or use of microelectronics capabilities and facilities.
  • Integrate new capabilities into existing manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • 15+ years full-time engineering experience.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing or depot support role, focusing on electrical assemblies, circuit card assemblies, and microelectronics.
  • Proven experience in writing and editing technical documents and training materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements, drawings, and schematics.
  • Experience using basic electronics diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other types of test equipment to troubleshoot circuits at the component level.
  • Understanding of common industry and military specifications and standards.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical leadership skills, including the ability to lead the resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with aircraft electrical systems and design.
  • Knowledge of circuit card design and manufacture.
  • Experience with configuration management processes.
  • Expertise in Windchill (product data management) and EVM (Earned Value).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Engineering Technical Data Packages.
  • Knowledge of the Production Release Process and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) using SAP.
  • Experience in developing manufacturing routings.
  • Ability to estimate level of effort on projects/tasks for cost and schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Systems, or related field with commensurate experience.
  • Existing Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
