Sr Engineer Clean Utilities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned clean utility systems.
  • Maintain system performance, reliability, and compliance to ensure consistent operation.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, investigations, and operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and system documentation.
  • Lead asset lifecycle management activities for utility systems.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain preventive maintenance strategies within Maximo.
  • Maintain asset records, equipment hierarchies, job plans, and maintenance documentation.
  • Analyze maintenance and reliability data to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
  • Lead utility-related capital projects from design through commissioning and turnover.
  • Develop technical requirements, specifications, and engineering assessments.
  • Support startup, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities.
  • Carefully coordinate project activities with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and external contractors.
  • Support change controls, deviations, investigations, and CAPA activities impacting utility systems.
  • Ensure utility systems remain compliant with GMP requirements and site standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and validation activities as the engineering representative.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • - High school diploma / GED & 10 years of directly related experience OR - Associates degree & 8 years of directly related experience OR - Bachelors degree & 4 years of directly related experience OR - Master's degree and 2 years directly related experience OR - Doctorate degree
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Experience within a utilities' plant within industry, especially with water systems. - Experience with GMP - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of engineering principles, methods and practices. - Basic understanding of cGMPs as applied to biotechnology products.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
