About the role
Your Role As a Sr. Energy Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing energy use across a portfolio of enterprise data centers by developing energy infrastructure models, identifying demand flexibility opportunities, and supporting energy market participation strategies. This position leverages data-driven analytics to improve operational efficiency, enhance sustainability initiatives, monetize existing infrastructure assets, and accelerate site readiness while partnering closely with internal stakeholders, utilities, and external service providers.

- Analyze and forecast data center load flexibility opportunities and support demand-side optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate, enroll, and manage participation in Demand Response (DR), capacity, ancillary services, flexible load, and tariff optimization programs.
- Develop and enhance automated demand response strategies, including real-time and day-ahead event response plans.
- Monitor program performance, investigate underperformance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Track energy market conditions, utility tariffs, regulatory developments, and industry trends that impact participation opportunities and energy strategy.
- Manage the intake, validation, normalization, integration, and quality assurance of energy-related datasets from vendors, utilities, consultants, and aggregators.
- Partner with engineering, operations, finance, procurement, development, utilities, grid operators, and third-party providers to support energy supply, infrastructure, financing, and demand flexibility initiatives.
- Deliver clear recommendations, reports, dashboards, and analytical insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the portfolio.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in energy analytics, infrastructure analytics, demand response programs, utility operations, commercial and industrial (C&I) energy management, data center energy management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience building, maintaining, documenting, validating, and quality-checking business-critical models, dashboards, and datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with at least one data analysis or programming tool such as Python, R, or SQL.
