Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management, guidance, support, and expertise in the implementation and administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
- Position manages the employee experience, offering direction for employees and managers through onboarding, self-service tools, and human resources shared services.
- Supports the execution of local human resources programs and initiatives, including separation procedures, document management, and maintaining respectful relationships with all employees while providing outstanding customer service.
- Works with related departments in workforce planning and organizational design meetings; conducts initial consultations and manages follow-up activities.
- Serves as a liaison for candidate and new hire experience components.
- Stays up-to-date on regulatory and legal requirements impacting HR; identifies and escalates issues, risks, and non-compliance.
- Consults and supports managers on HR compliance.
- Tracks compliance with performance management processes and manages separation of work processes, including conducting exit interviews.
- Supports special compensation programs, employee wellness program administration, and tuition reimbursement programs.
- Leads, manages, and supports employee events, projects, and communication at a local level, including service awards programs, job fairs, open enrollment events, employee engagement, recognition events, and new hire orientation.
- Serves as a change agent for operating models and strategic initiatives; acts as a "super user" for human resources technology systems and processes.
- Captains office administrative support with excellent customer service skills to promote the HR operating model.
- Assists with research for policies, training, strategic planning, and other human resource issues as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
- Education & Experience Equivalence Rule: An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Associate's degree AND 2+ years of experience High School Grad (or Equivalent) AND 4+ years of experience Field of Study: Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Relevant Experience: 2+ years of human resources, administrative, or related experience
- Leadership Experience: required
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) HR Knowledge: Working knowledge of or aptitude to learn human resources disciplines applicable for assigned duties Communication: Professional, oral, and written communication skills Core Skills: Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Discretion: Ability to handle confidential matters with maximum discretion
