Sr. Embedded Engineer, Amazon Leo

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Engineer to lead platform specific projects and initiatives on Satellite as well as Ground Systems. An ideal candidate would have multi-year experience working on mobile communications (cellular or microwave) and impacting ASIC projects before and after silicon tapeouts. The candidate should be familiar with and have demonstrated experience in kernel programming and/or device drivers, and/or working with peripheral devices. Experience with ethernet, SPI, I3C interfaces, flash devices and other standard protocol based peripherals is highly desired. Experience with ARM based systems, FPGA based components is desired.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 8+ years of hands on experience on embedded programming of common peripherals, communication based links, debug tool development and familiarity with FPGA/Emulation prototyping platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
