Sr. Electronics Validation Engineer
ROLE
STA Technologies develops unique anti-counterfeiting solutions for product and document security applications. As part of these solutions, we create security features along with sensors to detect and authenticate these features. Our portfolio of sensors includes quality control tools, customer-facing measurement tools, and high-speed sensors in an industrial in-line environment.
PROFILE
- Experience developing test methods, performing validation tests, analyzing, and reporting data.
- Detailed understanding of the equipment applicable to electronics testing and validation activities.
- Understanding of laser safety and test methods.
- Knowledge of the application of statistics to electronics verification and validation activities, obtained through course work, experience or both.
- Strong skills in hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and data analysis.
- Solid foundational knowledge of physics and material science.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Understanding of the full product lifecycle.
- Experience evaluating product and project risks, using risk assessment tools such as FMEA.
- Ability to effectively solve problems. Recognize problems and address them at the earliest possible time. Gather facts, propose solutions, gather input, communicate, and document appropriately. Learn from problems to identify preventative measures and improvements.
- Organizational skills to establish project roadmap in area of responsibility, maintain focus, track, and report progress, and escalate promptly to address issues. Role will provide opportunity to develop skills to lead a team, ensure clear understanding of project goals, and use formal project management tools and methodologies.
- Displays sense of ownership and accountability for their assigned work and organizational success. Maintains high standard of quality in spite of issues and schedule pressures. Strives to do it right the first time and takes ownership for their mistakes. Balances urgent issues with long term goals. Ability to communicate effectively and adapt communication approach. Communicates project needs, challenges, decisions, and proposed solutions with clarity at the technical detail level appropriate for the audience. Ability to explain the reasoning behind their opinions, ask and answer questions effectively and tactfully, and listen effectively to the input of others.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with over 5 years’ experience in developing, manufacturing and/or validation of electronic products.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Willingness and ability to obtain and hold a US Government Security Clearance required.
- Must be able to support occasional domestic and international business travel.
