Sr Electronics Test Technician
Basic Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire, but must be obtainable within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Help make the technologies, products and services that make a difference.
- Support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
- Perform component-level troubleshooting on analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics assemblies.
- Analyze circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to isolate faults.
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters.
- Apply theoretical knowledge of electronics (Ohm’s law, Kirchhoff’s laws, transistor theory, op-amps, digital logic, power conversion, etc.) to fault analysis.
- Identify failed or out-of-spec components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, and power devices.
- Conduct functional and environmental tests to verify repairs.
- Document failure modes, root causes, and corrective actions in maintenance or quality systems.
- Provide technical support to production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Assist in developing troubleshooting procedures, test plans, and repair documentation.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair electronic assemblies at the component level.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of: Analog circuits (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, power supplies)
- Digital circuits (logic families, microcontrollers, communication interfaces)
- Power electronics (linear and switching regulators, motor drives)
- May require 1st Class FCC license and Solder Repair certification
- Clear computer and test equipment knowledge

Pay
Target salary range: USD $26.37/Hr. - USD $28.00/Hr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
