About the role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer – Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will serve as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the critical power train to the IT load while providing technical direction, independent review, client guidance, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical Basis of Design, system architecture, and major technical decisions from utility service through the IT load.
- Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, generator plants and paralleling, UPS systems, transfer schemes, PDUs, busway, grounding, and high-density power distribution.
- Lead or review load flow, short-circuit, protective coordination, arc-flash, grounding, and related studies using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or equivalent.
- Resolve complex engineering challenges while balancing reliability, maintainability, constructability, cost, schedule, and energy performance.
- Provide independent review of calculations, studies, drawings, specifications, equipment selections, and major design packages across project teams and global delivery resources.
- Stay engaged from conceptual planning and detailed design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover; support significant RFIs, field conditions, substitutions, and technical changes.
- Provide senior electrical support for FAT/SAT, startup, commissioning, and integrated systems testing of critical electrical infrastructure.
- Help advance electrical strategies for AI/GPU-dense environments, rising rack power densities, and next-generation data center architectures.
- Evaluate high-density distribution, BESS, microgrids, distributed energy resources, and other emerging power solutions for practical deployment.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor in client workshops, design reviews, technical presentations, proposals, and major
