About the role
Amteck, a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its dynamic team. Located across the country, this position partners with a multi-disciplinary team to develop designs of electrical power systems for construction projects. Opportunities may include optimizing safety, schedule, and profitability, training and mentoring less experienced engineers, performing quality control reviews, supporting clients during construction, conducting field inspections, complying with documentation, and leading project proposal efforts.
Responsibilities

- Train and mentor less experienced engineers in their technical and professional development.
- Perform quality control reviews.
- Provide support for clients during construction.
- Conduct field inspections, comply with documentation, and perform factory acceptance testing.
- Lead teams of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
- Present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Lead project proposal efforts.
- Advance into leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred).
- 10+ years of related experience.
- P.E. License or ability to acquire one.
- Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (preferred).
- Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with National Electrical Code.
- Experience in electrical design and circuits.
- Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
- Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors.
- Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally.
- Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
- 10% travel required.
