Sr Electrical Engineer - Lexington, KY

Responsibilities

• Innovate project approaches to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
• Train and mentor less experienced engineers in their technical and professional development.
• Perform quality control reviews.
• Provide support for clients during construction.
• Conduct field inspections, prepare compliance documentation, and perform factory acceptance testing.
• Lead teams of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
• Present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc.
• Communicate and meet with clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Lead project proposal efforts.
• Advance into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred)
• 10+ years of related experience
• P.E. License or ability to acquire one
• Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (preferred)
• Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with National Electrical Code
• Experience in electrical design and circuits
• Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
• Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
• Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors
• Able to build trust and influence others internally and externally
• Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards
• 10% travel required
