About the role
Amteck, a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working in a company that fosters growth and longevity within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Innovate project approaches to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
- Train and mentor less experienced engineers in their technical and professional development.
- Perform quality control reviews.
- Provide support for clients during construction.
- Conduct field inspections, prepare compliance documentation, and perform factory acceptance testing.
- Lead teams of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
- Present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc.
- Communicate and meet with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Lead project proposal efforts.
- Advance into leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred)
- 10+ years of related experience
- P.E. License or ability to acquire one
- Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (preferred)
- Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with National Electrical Code
- Experience in electrical design and circuits
- Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors
- Able to build trust and influence others internally and externally
- Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards
- 10% travel required
