Responsibilities
- Develop and review electrical designs, drawings, and documentation for data center modules
- Design and support power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and cable tray layouts
- Prepare key engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, load lists, and cable sizing
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure designs meet project and code requirements
- Review vendor drawings and technical submittals
- Support preparation of technical requisitions and equipment specifications
- Aid in material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Partner with manufacturing teams to support build and resolve design issues
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of products
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 5–15 years of electrical design experience
- Strong experience with:
- Switchgear, transformers, and cable tray design/layout
- Electrical system design and documentation
- Solid Experience with power distribution systems (panels, UPS systems a plus)
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.)
- Experience with CAD or 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Experience reviewing or working with vendor drawings/submittals preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
Nice to Have
- Data center, industrial, or mission-critical facility experience
- Experience in modular or prefabricated systems
- EIT or PE certification (not required)
