About the role
ROCKWOOL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Group Technology team. This position requires 60% travel internationally and domestically, and the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites. We are unable to sponsor for this position.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of electrical utilities to ensure all buildings and process equipment demands for utilities are fulfilled.
- Supply strategy, dimensioning, and backup considerations for all phases of delivery projects, including initial order and concept study through specification and design to installation, test, commissioning, and after-service.
- Work on projects in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, including small machine deliveries and engineering support to large international green field factory projects.
- Design and construction activities, including high voltage installation layout, low voltage distribution, lighting, fire alarm, gas alarm, access control, CCTV control, building control system, and ventilation.
- Ensure inclusion of MMRs in solutions and communicate with suppliers to place orders and follow up for compliance.
- Document and archive all documentation/reporting according to company directives and Group Technology rules.
- Travel extensively for project execution, supplier visits, coordination, etc.
- Participate in budgeting and tender material development for suppliers.
- Study, learn, and demonstrate relevant ROCKWOOL technical standards.
- Adhere to confidentiality with proprietary processes and company’s code of conduct/values.
Requirements
- Engineering degree, with preference for Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in similar positions, including site installation, electrical design, construction, and design specifications of industrial facilities.
- Project execution record in large-scale projects.
- Experience working with multinational teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to travel 60% of the time, including extended periods at project sites.
