Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
- Designing, implementing, and debugging of Linux firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems (cameras, sensors, etc.).
- Learning the different aspects of KLA products by developing features in various areas and fields - power electronics, signal processing and communication over different platforms.
- Design and development of the system architecture, from the perspective of hardware interfaces, sensing components, communication protocols, software and hardware connectivity, etc.
- End-to-End Ownership of a project or product: from concept and simulation, through development and integration and field deployment.
- Bring-up of new hardware, working with datasheets for device configuration.
Qualifications
- Strong capabilities of solving firmware (using lab instruments) and hardware/software integration.
- Proficiency with Linux internals, networking and Embedded Linux build systems.
- Proficiency in programming in C and C++ in an embedded environment; knowledge of Python.
- Experience in low-level programming - BSP coding, drivers.
- Experience in the design and development processes of multi-disciplinary products which integrate software and electronics (ability to read and understand schematics).
- Familiarity with modern DevOps stack & standards (git, SVN, testing automation).
- Knowledge of various protocols to interface different peripherals: I2C, SPI, PCIe.
Pay Range
Base Pay Range: $141,300.00 - $240,200.00 Annually
