Sr. Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

You will be tasked with conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming. Manage high level projects from concept to production. Will work closely with other engineers and technical staff.

Provide engineering support for field service technicians and provide technical training at client facilities as needed. Supports the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service
• 7-10 years of related high-speed automation and electrical design experience
• Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system
• Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen-controlled capital equipment systems or machinery
• Specific experience in the Packaging industry a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems
• Good organization, communication, analytical and project management skills
• Good verbal and written skills utilizing office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid driving license and ability to travel, up to 20%, including internationally
