Sr. ED Technician (Full-time regular, Night Shift)
About the role
Centrally located within the heart of California, Adventist Health Tulare has been serving the Central Valley since 2018. We are comprised of a 108-bed acute care hospital, emergency department and provide primary and specialty care services to best serve our community. Tulare is situated in a delightful and geographically diverse region. There are a variety of opportunities for all-season outdoor recreation such as camping, hiking, water and snow skiing, fishing and boating. It is also within an hour's travel time to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) and MD/Provider with assessments, examinations and treatments.
- Documents patient care performed, including vital signs, bedside care and observations.
- Maintains state of readiness by maintaining equipment/supplies appropriate to the position.
- Affords patient and family education and mentors and trains staff on technical skills within scope of practice.
- Prioritizes patient care and department needs, sets goals, and organizes time to meet daily demands of nursing care.
- Records and collects specimens.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (CMA) or Paramedic certification: Preferred Phlebotomist Technician license: Preferred Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic (PM): Required Phlebotomy Tech (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician II (CPTII): Required

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $25.13 to $32.79.
