Job Responsibilities
- Performs drilling engineering work requiring application of complex techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks and develops precise and accurate well designs for drilling activities.
- Buils technical recommendations and provides business case to leadership in a concise, constructive, knowledgeable format that includes detailed implications for risk, business priorities, and value, integrates multi-discipline knowledge in technical recommendations, and may communicate technical recommendations to leadership.
- Prepares estimated drilling well costs and AFE generation for company operated exploratory, developmental, and remedial drilling activities.
- Sets up and operates equipment and tools used in drilling operations.
- Supports troubleshooting technical issues and challenges that arise during drilling operations, implementing solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
- Provides technical assistance to drilling operations staff, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and prepares estimated drilling well costs and AFE generation for drilling activities.
- Implements safety protocols and ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing within the organization to build technical expertise and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical) or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Design and Execution of Horizontal Wells, Drilling Operations or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Well Control Certification.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations pertinent to the industry.
- Documentation Preparation: Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and organized records and reports.
- Operational Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
