What You'll Do
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for vehicle connectivity, device commands, telemetry, and firmware delivery
- Build and scale the systems powering Robotaxi and Optimus
- Contribute to authentication and the developer platform (developer.tesla.com)
- Take strong ownership of the systems you build, from design through production
- Work closely with product, SRE, and infrastructure teams
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience
- 3+ years building and operating production distributed systems
- Strong experience with Go, or deep experience in another systems language and ready to learn
- Solid understanding of the technologies you work with and their tradeoffs
- Track record of end-to-end system ownership
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, or similar infrastructure
- Web security fundamentals
- You take initiative: see a problem, understand the context, fix it
- You value consistency in how you build software, same patterns across services, same approach to tooling and deployment

$140,000 - $312,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
