Job Summary

The Senior Director, Supply Chain Services supports KMC's growth path within the strategic framework. They lead the development, review, and optimization of processes, methods, and tools for the KMC purchasing organization from a strategic, global, and cross-functional perspective. Topics include automation of internal and vendor-facing purchasing activities, acquisition and structuring of supplier data, development of supplier performance and segmentation strategies, demand forecasting and planning, schedule alignment with key suppliers, inventory management and accountability frameworks, performance reporting and rebate management, supplier capacity reporting, and outage management.

Job Functions

  • Management of the Procurement Excellence Portfolio
  • Define & document Procurement Excellence roadmap in conjunction with PMO department, Executive leadership, and Procurement stakeholders
  • Integrate and participate in Global projects and initiatives to ensure KMC needs are met by global initiatives
  • Interface with IT, Commercial, Operations, and Digital stakeholders to collaboratively define business rules and solutions to support the organization’s strategy
  • Cookordination with other Transformation Team Members such as Excellence Managers in Value Chain (Sales, Operations, etc), Process Managers, Data Analytics, Digital Product Managers, and Master Data Managers to ensure the full weight of continuous improvement investments are leveraged for stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
  • Results-driven individual with high-performance standards of themselves and others, with the ability to motivate and lead the sales team
  • Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 7 years of proven management experience, in the metals industry; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
