Sr. Director Supply Chain

About the role

This fast-growing supplement brand sells across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify and TikTok Shop and is now expanding into brick and mortar retail. Most of the company's working capital sits in inventory or in deposits on inventory still in production, making supply chain a critical function. As the executive owner of the entire supply chain, you'll run planning, purchasing, logistics, inventory and item data. Your decisions will impact the P&L within a quarter, and you'll build the team and processes behind them. The role is based in Las Vegas, NV with full remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a single rolling demand and supply plan by SKU and channel.
  • Turn it into buy plans that balance service levels against cash, based on real lead times, MOQs and contract manufacturer deposit terms.
  • Manage purchase orders from placement through receipt and invoice. This includes the three-way match, the cash timing of deposits and balances, supplier scorecards and negotiating pricing and terms.
  • Make inventory accuracy a number you can defend. Own cycle counts, reconciliation with the general ledger, days of supply, lot and expiry exposure, and the item master and SKU mappings for every channel.
  • Own inbound and outbound logistics cost: carrier mix, 3PL rate card audits, customs and duty, carton and dimensional-weight decisions, and returns. Report fulfillment and freight as a percentage of revenue each month.
  • Lead and hire the planning, purchasing, inventory and master data team. Set the weekly and monthly operating cadence, document procedures, and give finance the inventory, deposit and accrual data it needs without being asked.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years in supply chain, including at least 3 years leading a supply chain function, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
  • A track record of owning and being accountable for a forecast, including measuring and correcting both forecast error and bias.
  • Experience buying from contract manufacturers, negotiating terms that include deposits, and handling quality holds or late deliveries without a channel stockout.

Preferred:

  • Experience in supplements or another regulated category where lot control and expiry dating matter.
  • Hands-on experience with Cin7 and ShipHero, or with a similar ERP/inventory system and WMS, and pulling your own data.
  • High-SKU-count ecommerce and retail experience across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, TikTok Shop and brick and mortar retail.
  • Comfort with finance-level conversations about inventory valuation, deposits, accruals and cost per unit.
  • Experience taking over an inventory position you didn't trust and rebuilding confidence in it.
