About the Team

The Customer Strategy and Product Strategy and Planning team plays a pivotal role in crafting how Cisco and Splunk bring integrated solutions to market and deliver measurable customer value. The team connects customer insights, portfolio strategy, and go-to-market execution to accelerate growth across networking, security, observability, and the Splunk data platform.

Impact

We are seeking a seasoned strategy leader to define and operationalize go-to-market initiatives across Cisco and Splunk. This role will lead complex, cross-functional programs that translate portfolio strategy into clear market plays, differentiated customer value propositions, and scalable field execution. The successful candidate will influence senior leaders across product, sales, marketing, customer success, partnerships, and operations while crafting alignment around shared priorities, investments, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead cross-portfolio go-to-market strategies that accelerate adoption, pipeline, revenue, and customer value across Cisco and Splunk.
  • Translate corporate and product strategy into prioritized market opportunities, customer use cases, target segments, value propositions, and executable GTM plans.
  • Develop the Cisco and Splunk “better together” narrative, connecting networking, security, observability, and data capabilities to high-value customer outcomes.
  • Establish a portfolio of repeatable GTM plays, including target audiences, customer journeys, solution positioning, sales motions, partner motions, enablement requirements, and success metrics.
  • Lead joint business planning across product, sales, marketing, customer success, operations, finance, and partner organizations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify priority accounts, industries, personas, and buying centers for integrated Cisco and Splunk solutions.
  • Rationalize and prioritize customer use cases across the portfolio, balancing market attractiveness, customer impact, differentiation, technical readiness, and commercial potential.
  • Define performance indicators and measurement frameworks to evaluate GTM efficiency, identify execution gaps, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, strategy, economics, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant experience in go-to-market strategy, corporate strategy, product strategy, business operations, sales strategy, management consulting, or a related leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing complex, enterprise-scale GTM programs across multiple products, business units, regions, or sales motions.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience developing business cases, evaluating market opportunities, and measuring GTM performance.
  • Outstanding executive communication, storytelling, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or another relevant graduate degree.
  • Experience in an internal strategy, GTM, product strategy, sales strategy, or business operations leadership role at a global technology company.
  • Experience with SaaS, cybersecurity, networking, observability, data platforms, or enterprise software.
  • Experience developing joint GTM strategies for technology partnerships, acquisitions, or integrated product portfolios.
  • Experience leading organizational change and building new operating models in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Track record of crafting customer-facing use cases and market narratives that have influenced pipeline, adoption, revenue, or retention.
