About the Role

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Programs to serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services and the broader PS leadership team. This high-impact role operates at the intersection of organizational strategy, executive alignment, and hands-on program leadership, providing the connective tissue that keeps the PS organization moving toward its goals while leading the incubation of new initiatives, emerging capabilities, and time-bound special programs.

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services, you will play a dual role: supporting the SVP and leadership team in translating strategic priorities into coordinated action and personally leading a portfolio of strategic initiatives that are too important for junior ownership but too early-stage or cross-cutting to sit within a single functional team. Current programs include AI adoption across the PS organization, oversight of the Service Offering Manager function, and the design and rollout of a PS enablement program.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates in the USA, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and the UK are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment & Organizational Effectiveness
    • Partner with the SVP of Professional Services to develop, communicate, and track progress against the PS organization's strategic priorities, ensuring functional leaders are aligned and key initiatives advance with urgency and visibility.
    • Prepare high-quality materials for PS leadership team meetings, offsites, and planning sessions, including agenda development, pre-reads, strategic frameworks, and follow-up action tracking.
    • Identify organizational gaps, coordination breakdowns, or strategic blind spots and proactively recommend solutions to the SVP.
    • Serve as a thought partner to the SVP on organizational design, people decisions, strategic investments, and emerging challenges.
    • Support the design and execution of the PS business rhythm, including leadership team cadences, cross-functional planning cycles, and organizational communication.
  • Strategic Program Incubation & Leadership
    • Lead a portfolio of high-priority, cross-functional strategic programs, typically initiatives in early or transitional phases requiring dedicated senior ownership.
    • Define program objectives, success criteria, governance structures, and transition plans to ensure long-term success and transfer of ownership to functional leaders.
    • Apply a structured yet adaptable approach to program leadership, building momentum, engaging stakeholders, removing barriers, and focusing on outcomes.
    • Ensure strategic programs are appropriately resourced, dependencies are managed, and risks/decisions are escalated to PS leadership.
  • AI Adoption Across Professional Services
    • Lead the PS-wide initiative to accelerate AI adoption, partnering with functional leaders in delivery, scoping, PMO, and business operations.
    • Develop and execute an AI adoption roadmap, identifying high-value use cases, piloting tools, measuring impact, and scaling successful applications.
    • Serve as the internal champion and subject matter resource for AI in PS, maintaining awareness of relevant tools and bringing practical recommendations to leadership.
    • Partner with IT, Product, and peer operations teams to align AI adoption with broader company-wide technology and data initiatives.
    • Build the PS team’s capability and confidence in AI tools through targeted enablement, guidance, and senior sponsorship.
  • Service Offering Management Oversight
    • Provide senior oversight and strategic direction to the Service Offering Manager function, ensuring the PS service portfolio is clearly defined, well-positioned, and aligned with customer needs.
    • Work with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, delivery leadership) to ensure service offerings are accurately scoped, consistently packaged, and effectively communicated.
    • Support the development of new service offerings, bringing a structured approach to design, go-to-market readiness, and internal enablement.
  • PS Enablement Program Design & Rollout
    • Lead the design, development, and rollout of a comprehensive Professional Services enablement program, ensuring team members have access to onboarding resources, skills development, and performance support tools.
    • Partner with PS functional leaders, HR, and Learning & Development to identify enablement priorities, curate content, and build delivery infrastructure.
    • Establish metrics to evaluate the enablement program’s impact on team performance, time-to-productivity, and delivery quality.
    • Ensure the program evolves with organizational changes, including new product releases, delivery methodologies, and tool adoption.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services, strategy, program management, or organizational leadership within an enterprise software or technology company.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic programs from inception to operational ownership.
  • Experience supporting senior executive leadership in an advisory or strategic capacity, with credibility and discretion to operate at the highest organizational levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, quickly building context and driving progress on undefined initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing complex topics into clear executive narratives.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
  • Genuine interest in and working knowledge of AI tools and their application in professional services or enterprise software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the aviation, aerospace, or enterprise aviation software industry.
  • Background in professional services delivery (e.g., consulting, implementation management, solutions architecture).
  • Experience designing or leading enablement or learning and development programs for professional services or customer-facing teams.
  • Familiarity with service offer management, go-to-market packaging, or professional services productization.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or championing AI tools within a business or delivery context.
  • Comfort managing a shifting portfolio of priorities, with the expectation that focus areas will evolve as organizational needs change.
