Sr. Director, Scientific Affairs

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director, Scientific Affairs to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead scientific and operational support for global laboratory partnerships, proposal development, and client-facing bid defense activities. The Sr. Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape operational strategies that support clinical development programs and trial execution. In addition, this leader will mentor team members, strengthen third-party lab performance, and represent the organization in client meetings and industry events. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $181,400 – $225,000 annually Responsibilities Lead operational support for RFPs and bid defense meetings Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop operational strategies Mentor and train direct reports and colleagues Own global third-party lab relationships and metrics reporting Create and refine specifications for client protocols Develop comprehensive proposals reflecting strategic planning Represent the organization in client meetings and industry events Qualifications Bachelor's degree in life sciences; PhD preferred 15+ years in the CRO/Lab industry or equivalent experience Proven leadership in global laboratory networks Experience in operational protocol analysis and budget review Strong background in clinical development and operational execution of trials Management of third-party lab partners Benefits Health insurance Retirement savings benefits Life insurance and disability benefits Parental leave Paid time off for sick leave and vacation Discretionary annual bonus Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
