About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr Director, Revenue Cycle Management to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will own revenue cycle strategy across clinical research operations, with a focus on scaling processes that support budgets, contracts, startup activities, billing, and revenue recognition. The role will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Legal to strengthen compliance, improve efficiency, and provide clear visibility into financial performance. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned revenue cycle executive who can develop teams, elevate operating discipline, and serve as a strategic advisor on best practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute revenue cycle strategy across clinical research operations
- Lead, develop, and retain multi-level teams, including Directors
- Drive integration of budgets, contracts, startup, billing, and revenue recognition
- Prioritize resources and process improvements for compliance and efficiency
- Establish scalable processes and documentation for revenue cycle performance
- Ensure compliance with billing requirements and regulatory standards
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Legal to evaluate financial performance
- Lead monthly operating reviews and report on key metrics
- Serve as a strategic advisor on revenue cycle best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- 1 year of Director-level experience with direct people leadership
- 5 years of revenue cycle, finance, or related discipline experience
- 3 years of experience in healthcare or clinical research
- 7 or more years of progressive leadership experience preferred
- Experience in the clinical research industry, especially within SMO and CRO environments
- Working knowledge of trial budgets, contracts, coverage analysis, and billing compliance preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
