Your opportunity to make a real impact and shape the future of financial services is waiting for you. Let's push the boundaries of what's possible together. As a leader within Corporate Technology – HR & Benefits Technology, you will own the technology and process landscape spanning Global Benefits, Global Mobility, Business Travel, and Expatriate Payroll & Tax—at the largest bank in the world.
About the role
You lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.
- Lead a 125+ global benefits vendor ecosystem
- Drive the migration of U.S. pension off legacy PeopleSoft into modern cloud technologies
- Deliver end-to-end integration and automation of benefits data into and out of payroll to enable touchless payroll—across countries, currencies, and regulatory regimes, with strong controls, resiliency, and compliance-by-design
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technology strategy and delivery across Global Benefits, Global Mobility, Business Travel, and Expatriate Payroll & Tax, including the 125+ global benefits vendor ecosystem and related application-owner, risk, and vendor-performance governance
- Drive the migration of U.S. pension from legacy PeopleSoft to modern, secure, cloud-native technologies, ensuring data integrity, controls, and operational stability throughout the transition
- Deliver end-to-end integration and automation of all benefits data flowing into and out of payroll to enable touchless payroll—orchestrating a complex, cross-country, cross-regulation landscape of inbound and outbound flows (benefits, mobility, time, banking, tax, statutory, and general ledger) across multiple jurisdictions and currencies
- Lead Global Mobility technology (e.g., Sirva) and expatriate payroll, business travel, and tax support (e.g., KPMG), partnering with HR, Benefits, Mobility, Finance, and Operations to convert needs into prioritized roadmaps
- Set the engineering bar across the portfolio—custom full-stack development, serverless and cloud-native design on AWS, Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, and automated CI/CD—delivering repeatable, auditable, resilient deployments
- Champion secure-by-design and compliance-by-design, embedding automated controls, security scanning, and policy-as-code into pipelines to support SOX, statutory and tax reporting, data residency/retention, segregation of duties, and access management
- Direct responsible adoption of AI-enabled engineering—agentic workflows, AI-assisted ("vibe coding") development, and MCP-based services for conversational interfaces—paired with strong guardrails for a highly regulated industry
- Act as the primary interface with senior leaders and executives, driving consensus across competing risk, regulatory, operational, cost, and modernization priorities, and presenting clearly to senior management
- Lead, hire, and develop large cross-functional engineering teams; champion the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
- Set and scale multi-department strategy for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) to drive firmwide objectives (speed, scalability, reliability, and cost-to-serve)
- Establish portfolio-level standards for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, release governance, automated test modernization, resilience engineering, and incident response acceleration; establish guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, traceability, and reuse
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to drive cross-domain reuse and measurable capacity unlock outcomes across departments

- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), Pipeline as Code, and automated CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), with automated security and controls embedded in pipelines
- Demonstrated experience building highly secure code using guardrails appropriate for a highly regulated industry
- Proven delivery of end-to-end integration and automation between vendor systems and payroll, plus experience migrating legacy platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft) to modern cloud with strong data integrity and controls
- Experience managing large vendor ecosystems—onboarding, application ownership, risk management, and performance tracking
- Experience leading large, cross-functional technology teams and influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations to deliver value at scale
- Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment), including defining governance (human-in-the-loop decisioning, quality gates), measurement frameworks, and secure handling of sensitive inputs/outputs across teams
- Deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resiliency/security expectations at scale, with demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption, portfolio governance, and reuse-first strategies
