Job Summary
The Sr. Director of Investments at Waldron Private Wealth will oversee and be the direct point of contact for client engagements from an investment capacity. This role will manage a team of investments employees who service the needs of high net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the activities and execution of the investment functions for clients with combined AUM up to $1B who are assigned to their team.
- Communicate with clients regarding portfolio strategies, performance, and the market environment.
- Collaborate with all firm departments to develop a holistic plan for client engagements. Develop and monitor custom portfolio strategies.
- Approve trading and rebalancing recommendations.
- Contribute to and provide a sounding board for the firm’s due diligence process. Oversee the due diligence process for new and existing investment strategies. Establish the due diligence and manager selection criteria.
- Coordinate and manage investment research. Evaluate investment offerings (e.g. usage, flow, overlap, etc.) and research complimentary new offerings.
- Create strategic and tactical investment macro allocations, evaluate and enhance allocations as needed, as well as build and identify the best implementation instruments.
- Take on a leadership role in decision making on investments.
Requirements
- Experience managing investment functions for high net-worth clients with combined AUM up to $1B.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding portfolio strategies, performance, and the market environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with all firm departments to develop comprehensive client engagement plans.
- Experience in approving trading and rebalancing recommendations.
- Knowledgeable in overseeing and contributing to the firm's due diligence process, including due diligence and manager selection criteria.
- Experience in coordinating and managing investment research, evaluating investment offerings, and researching complementary new offerings.
- Ability to create and implement strategic and tactical investment macro allocations, evaluate and enhance allocations as needed, and identify the best implementation instruments.
- Leadership experience in decision-making related to investments.
