Job Duties
- Coach and develop the group of HR leaders of 5+ employees, including accountability for the performance and results of the team.
- In conjunction with the team, develop HR plans to ensure business needs are appropriately understood and represented, and lead execution of plans.
- Ensure HR processes and projects align with business and HR Strategy.
- Facilitate workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, salary review, etc. in collaboration with the HR team and company managers as appropriate.
- Establish close working relationships to understand business objectives and requirements and to assist in the timely delivery of people-related solutions.
- Provide leadership in talent acquisition, talent management, benefits, and compensation to ensure a holistic delivery of human resources support to the business.
- Provide expert consultation in organizational effectiveness to business management, specifically thought leadership focused on talent identification, development and management; resource management; strategic optimization of organizational structure; and change management-design/change processes to take organization through change transformation.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of progressively increasing experience within Human Resources where you were given autonomy to exercise judgement and act with little oversight.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Direct Experience working with managers and staff at various levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment law including but not limited to compliance with regulatory requirements, EEO/AA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Experience with union workers and the associated rules and laws.
- Excellent business acumen, including a demonstrated ability to analyze situations, conceptualize solutions, interpret policies, and offer resolutions for complex issues of a sensitive nature.
- Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and communication skills, including the ability to provide guidance and leadership to HR staff.
- The willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is required; experience with ADP Lyric and Celergo are preferred.
- Though it is not required, ideal candidates will have experience supporting international staff management (in-country hiring, immigration, expatriation, temporary assignments, etc.).
